We have started the year by looking at political ideologies and the political spectrum. Block D had a quiz on Sept. 18th and Block E had a quiz on Sept. 19th.
We are now looking at the three branches of government in Canada. We focused in on the House of Commons. Students were asked to explain the following roles in the House of Commons using a pamphlet in class: Speaker, Mace, Sergeant-at-Arms, MP's, Prime Minister and Leader of the Official Opposition.
On Thursday, September 26th students in block E were organized into their party groups. Students in blk D will be organized into their party groups on Friday, September 27th. Every student should now know their political party and role within the party. Below are some sites that will be helpful in researching the parties. All platforms have now been released (finally!)
